FOR INFORMATION OF DOCTORS
The author is doing
research on primary atrophic rhinitis (PAR). This disease is there since
prehistoric period in India. It emits foul smell from nose. These patients,
usually young females, lead a hell of living in society. And there was no cure.
Some western doctors believed it due to undue roominess of nasal passages and
hence they devised operations to narrow the nasal passages. A post-operative
torturous life is the outcome. In the author’s research the disease was found
as a form of pauci-bacillary leprosy but subsequently it was revised as an
infection of some members of mycobacterial family which belongs to ‘non
tubercular myco- bacterial’ (NTM) species. These organisms affect nerves and
many other tissues of different organs of body. Main signs of infection of
different tissues of various organs produce different symptomatologies,
frequently accepted as diseases.
Examples: -
1.
Progressive nerve
deafness, vertigo, tinnitus where no cause & hence there is no treatment.
They are due to one or many NTM bacterial infection of vestibule-cochlear
nerve. Similar is the case with unexplained pain, itching &frequent wax
formation in ear.
2.
Various painful
neuralgic manifestations –headaches, spasm of calf muscles, fingers &toes.
Also other neuralgias problems like trigeminal neuralgia, sciatica, facial
palsy, laryngeal palsy.
3.
Burning mouth syndrome
(BMS) leukoplakia, dysphagia.
4.
Psychotic
manifestation like irritability, depression, hypochondria etc.
5.
Many others
All
these diseases are usually with some etiology and treatable but some others, as
reported above are without any etiology and hence not treatable. The patients
run from specialist doctors to any doctors of other systems and quackery. The
unfortunate sufferers are in millions and are present in all countries of the
world.
